Walmart

Walmart Walmart Walmart... if I could figure out a way to never spend money there again I would be happy. But since it's all we have here I have no choice but to continue to give the Walton family my money! But Walmart is taking some steps to be more consumer friendly and coupon friendly. The have updated their coupon policy to allow for overages. An overage occurs when you present a coupon that is worth more than the item you are purchasing and Walmart kindly gives you the extra money towards your other purchases or cash back. This can be very beneficial to you if you know what to look for when it comes to your coupons. There is a lot of fine print on coupons but the most important thing to look for is the size of the item specified on the coupon and if it says "does not include trial sizes". If it doesn't say a specific size or does not exclude trial sizes you have a good coupon! This is where you can make some money at Walmart.

When Walmart first changed their coupon policy Purex had the unfortunate luck to have a coupon out that did not exclude the trial size of Purex 3 in 1 sheets. The coupon was for $3.00 off and the item you could purchase with it was 97 cents. That means for every one of these coupons you had you not only got the Purex sample pack for FREE, Walmart paid you $2.00 for each one. I of course did not get lucky enough to have these coupons or do this deal but I have done deals similar that were not as profitable.

The most common way to get things for free at Walmart is to use a $1.00 off coupon that does not exclude trial sizes. I have gotten free trial size Degree deodorant, Cologate toothpaste (there is regular size tube for 97 cents), Tide trial packs and other assorted items. A great example of a good coupon at Walmart is the $3.00 off Tide Stain Release packets.
